Pinot Blanc is a white grape variety, which is also called Pinot Bianco, Weißburgunder, Weißer Burgunder or Klevner. It is the lightest of all Burgundy varieties and has been known since the 14th century. It is thought to be originally a mutation of Pinot Gris.

Origin: very old variety; mutation of Pinot Gris, which is again a mutation of Pinot Noir.
